Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager
  • Supervise and manage the daily activities of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP (or IFRS, if applicable).

  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.

  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage annual audit process.

  • Analyze financial data and performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

  • Support implementation and optimization of accounting systems and processes.

  • Train, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff performance.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Preferred Qualifications of the Accounting Manager
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA strongly preferred).

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle.

  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and best practices.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

The Accountant role is fully onsite in Uniontown, OH with a salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 depending on experience.
