Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager

Supervise and manage the daily activities of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP (or IFRS, if applicable).

Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.

Coordinate with external auditors and manage annual audit process.

Analyze financial data and performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

Support implementation and optimization of accounting systems and processes.

Train, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff performance.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Preferred Qualifications of the Accounting Manager

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA strongly preferred).

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle.

Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and best practices.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
The Accountant role is fully onsite in Uniontown, OH with a salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 depending on experience.
