The KGC Approach


Our Mission: To deliver certainty of mind to clean energy innovators that are leading the charge in saving our world.


As our clients continue to grow in size and complexity, so do we. We manage approximately 500 companies and growing (including one of the largest solar + battery facilities in the world). We perform monthly closes and issue financial statements for all clients/companies by the 10th business day.


Outside of the close we help our clients with acquisitions, debt raises, equity raises, derivatives including hybrid financial instrument accounting, VIE analysis, international and other complex transactions. This includes all the US GAAP technical accounting.


Key Responsibilities


Each client has a Client Service Team. Every team member is responsible for managing a portfolio of client business entities, exercising substantial authority over their assigned companies while collaborating closely with the Client and internal team members.


  • Teach, mentor, and coach junior team members to support professional development and ensure team success.
  • Effectively communicate and build strong relationships with senior client management and senior firm leadership.
  • Accurately record and manage complex accounting and operational transactions with precision.
  • Oversee month-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations for complex entities.
  • Apply technical accounting expertise, particularly in US GAAP, to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Manage the implementation of new software, tools and processes to improve efficiency firm wide.
  • Lead multiple consolidations within the ERP and accounting system (Microsoft Business Central) to ensure seamless reporting.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, ensuring audit readiness and compliance with all financial regulations.
  • Maintain strict adherence to deadlines and firm standards, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and high-quality manner.

Success is measured through a combination of technical expertise, process efficiency, and leadership impact, including:

  • Strengthening relationships with senior client management through proactive communication and value-driven service.
  • Developing and training team members, enabling them to grow and handle more complex transactions effectively.
  • Managing an assigned portfolio of companies with accuracy, ensuring compliance with deadlines and minimizing errors.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and providing innovative solutions for increased efficiency.
  • Ensuring all assigned companies are closed within established deadlines and presented in an audit-ready format.
  • Assisting senior managers with special projects outside of the close period, contributing to broader organizational success.

Are you a fit?


Desired Experience and Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting; CPA designation.
  • Minimum of four years of recent audit experience with a Big 4 or national accounting firm, or equivalent corporate accounting experience.
  • Strong IT proficiency and a willingness to leverage technology for process improvement.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central is a plus but not a requirement.
