Accounting Manager - Great Plains SME Needed

Overview of the Accounting Manager role:
- Responsible for all aspects of the accounting systems and accounting processes, including month-end close, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls and integrity, suitability, accuracy, and timeliness of internal information systems
- Manage accounts payable cycle, process, and staff. Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Manage accounts receivable, cash receipts and revenue. Prepare billing invoices and collections.
- Assist in all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities including journal entry review/posting, balance sheet reconciliations and expense allocation, etc.
- Perform and complete special projects and other duties as assigned by Controller and/or CFO.
- Financial Reporting.
- Great Plains SME - training, point of contact for system questions
Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Manager:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Non-profit experience is a must
- Proficient in Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
