Our client, a Japanese Manufacturer located in Portland, TN is looking for an Accounting Manager.

Salary: 70-85k
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (BS, PL, CF)
- Handle journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing
- Review payroll data and process payroll-related journal entries
- Monitor cash position and arrange short-term loans if needed
- Approve AP/AR activities and review wire transfers
- Create annual budgets and assist with tax filings (Sales & Use, Federal, State)
- Coordinate audits and JSOX/internal control compliance
- Liaise with Japan HQ and tax/accounting consultants
- Supervise and evaluate accounting staff performance
Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing industry preferred)
- Japanese skill is a big plus.
- Proficient in Excel and ERP systems
- Knowledge of US GAAP or relevant accounting standards
