Compensation Range: $90,000 - $110,000 - Onsite - Pampa, TX
Position Summary:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of cost accounting, inventory control, and financial analysis. This role partners closely with production, supply chain, and corporate controller to ensure accurate financial reporting, optimize cost structures, and support operational efficiency across multiple manufacturing sites.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in cost accounting within a manufacturing or oil & gas environment, with proven experience in variance analysis, ERP systems (preferably Microsoft D365 and COGNOS), and cross-functional collaboration. This role is critical to ensuring financial integrity, driving continuous improvement, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the business.
Responsibilities:
Cost Accounting Duties:
- Daily Variance analysis and reporting to production and management
- Work with production (all locations) to maintain BOM's and Routes per variance analysis
- work with production to identify efficiency gain opportunities in production and assembly processes
- absorption forecasting and analysis
- Cost reviews for efficiency opportunities
- Lead on semi-annual cost roll
- Lead on identifying and determining solutions for aged inventory items
- Work with production and purchasing to set target days on hand for all stocked items (raw material, components, finished goods)
- Liaison with external auditors on matters related to cost and inventory
- Analyze monthly margins report
- Perform cost-volume-profit analysis for all locations
- Work with sales and production to maintain list prices in D365
Month End Closing & Financial Reporting Duties:
- Perform various reconciliations and adjustments as assigned by the Controller
- Assist the Mexico entity with accounting support as needed
- Perform month end entries into COGNOS for the Mexico entity
- Provide backup support for COGNOS entries for all Titan entities
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts as required
Other Duties:
- Prepare and submit the semi-annual Ethics Reporting Package
- Oversee the preparation of annual Census reports required by Federal and State governments
- Assist with the preparation of reports regarding facility square footage and environmental related information as required
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills for this Position
A. Education and Training
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- CPA/CMA preferred but not required.
- Five (5) plus years of progressive financial and accounting experience.
B. General Requirements
- Must have prior experience in Financial reporting and analysis
- Able to travel periodically as needed. (minimal)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Able to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem solving skills, with ability to multi-task and change priorities in a fast paced environment.
C. Technical Requirements / Skills
- Able to provide improvement to processes as required.
- Computer proficiency.
- Proven leadership and attention to details.
D. Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
- Must have a valid driver's license and record that conforms to company's insurance policies, ATF, DOT, and State of other required Hazmat training.
E. Work Authorization / Security Clearance:
- Authorized to work in United States.
- Able to meet ATF & regulatory security requirements.
