Accounting Manager

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Oversee the preparation and posting of journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing financial analysis and insights
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting staff, ensuring professional development and compliance with organizational standards
- Ensure compliance with healthcare-specific regulations and accounting standards
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize financial systems and processes
- Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to healthcare regulations
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other general accounting functions
- Provide financial insights to senior management to support decision-making
Preferred Qualifications of the Accounting Manager:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and healthcare industry financial reporting standards
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas
- CPA or healthcare-related certifications are a plus
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with healthcare financial systems or software (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is preferred
Salary and Benefits:
- In-office in Cleveland, Ohio
- Pay range: $90,000 to $110,000
