LHH is working with a client that is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting and financial reporting for all ancillary service lines, including pharmacy, rehabilitation, home health, hospice, and nurse practitioner services. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with regulations, and providing valuable financial insights to senior management.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Record all revenue in the general ledger on a monthly basis.
  • Compile and distribute monthly revenue invoices to vendors for the division.
  • Maintain the sales subledger for the services division.
  • Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable for the services division, including cash collections.
  • Reconcile ancillary bank accounts each month.
  • Reconcile various accounts receivable subledgers to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure accurate accounting and elimination of all intercompany transactions.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
  • Ensure proper coding of accounts payable expenses.
  • Record monthly accrual entries for service lines.
  • Post payroll entries for services to the general ledger.
  • Complete monthly payroll accruals for services.
  • Prepare key factor schedules and various month-end reports.
  • Provide supporting documentation and respond to audit inquiries.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency.
  • Ensure the integrity of financial data by maintaining internal controls.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to senior management.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred.
