Accounting Manager
We are currently seeking candidates for an Accounting Manager opportunity with a highly successful Investment Management firm located in Boston, MA. The Accounting Manager will work closely with the Corporate Controller, and will be responsible for journal entries, GL, reconciliations, financial statements, annual audits, fixed assets, and month end close. The ideal candidate will have 5-8+ years of corporate accounting experience.
This is an 8 - 12+ month contract opportunity, paying $60/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute journal entries including standard monthly accounting entries
- Maintain A/R and A/P processes, including validation and reconciliation against transactions posted in firm's accounting system
- Assist with month-end closing processes
- Perform M&A accounting
- Prepare and review financial statements
- Analyze financial statement balances, trial balances, and subsidiary ledgers
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations
- Liaise with management, auditors, support staff, and outside investors
- Provide additional assistance as needed
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Economics
- 5-8+ years of corporate accounting experience
- CPA preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically with Excel (VLOOKUP's & Pivot-Tables)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
- Previous experience with NetSuite a plus
