Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a repeat client in Beltsville, MD in the search for their next Accounting Manager. The client is looking for a candidate with a background in healthcare accounting. This role will be responsible for leading the accounting team for the month-end close process and insuring compliance with GAAP standards. This role is a hybrid position with multiple days in office each week at their Beltsville, MD office. If interested, please apply with your most up to date resume.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Verifies the accuracy and completeness of monthly financial closings for all assigned areas.
  • Collaborates with Controllers and Corporate Accountants to gather necessary data and explanations.
  • Prepares variance analyses for the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and detailed Cost Center P&Ls as needed.
  • Supervises the monthly preparation of consolidated workpapers.
  • Reviews internal and external accounting management reports to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Conducts in-depth research on GAAP-related issues as required.
  • Oversees the timely processing of monthly debt service payments.
  • Manages the preparation and submission of periodic debt compliance documents, ensuring adherence to requirements at all times.
  • Ensures proper coding of all accounts payable invoices.
  • Evaluates and approves all disbursements for appropriateness.
  • Reviews and authorizes amortization schedules for new debt.
  • Coordinates the creation and review of audit workpapers.
  • Acts as a key liaison with external auditors and represents the company throughout audit procedures.
  • Leads the preparation of detailed accounts receivable analyses.
  • Supervises and directs the activities of Accounting department staff.
