BACKGROUND:
To identify the right candidate for this key accounting role, the Choosing Winners System will be utilized. During the initial brainstorming phase, DEFINE, the team considered three criteria for this search: WHO (behaviors, values, characteristics, traits); WHAT (duties, responsibilities, performance expectations); and TICKET (experience, education/training, skills). This profile is divided into four sections: Who, What, overall Performance Expectations, and the Ticket.
PART ONE: WHO

PART TWO: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a list of the specific duties and responsibilities for the role of Accounting Clerk. The list is not all-inclusive and is intended to assist in the hiring process and as a foundation for a job description with clear and specific responsibilities.
• Process AP invoices for timely, accurate vendor payments.
• Reconcile credit card statements and gather supporting documentation.
• Review credit card expense coding and enter into accounting system Vista.
• Communicate effectively with customers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare and issue subcontracts including review of certificates of insurance, endorsements and documentation as required.
• Assist with insurance and licensing compliance on projects.
• Reconcile vendor statements.
• Create accurate and timely customer invoices.
• Review AR Aging weekly and complete collection follow-up.
• Reconcile discrepancies between client statements and internal records.
• Work closely and timely with other teams to resolve any billing issues.
• Assist the finance team to ensure proper tracking of all invoicing activities.
• Assist PMO department with billing and job costing information.
• Answer phones as needed.

PART FOUR: TICKET
The Ticket consists of the skills, experience, and education/training required, preferred, or desired for the person selected for this position.
REQUIRED:
• A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in construction or contracting
• Associate's degree in accounting, Finance or related field
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Attention to detail and accuracy in all work tasks
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
•Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
•Experience with Adobe or Bluebeam
PREFERRED:
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration Accounting, Finance orrelated field.
•Experience in Vista/Viewpoint.
DESIRED:
•Experience working for an IBEW contractor.
PAY RANGE:
•25.00-30.00/HR DOE
