Accounting Associate Private Equity Public Accounting Experience Preferred

Job Description:
The Accounting Associate position is a newly created opportunity to join a top performing private equity firm headquartered in Nashville, TN. As a key member of the company's Finance Team, this individual will support fund accounting responsibilities, tax compliance, and management company operations. Primary Responsibilities:
Manage cash and lines-of-credit
Prepare, gather and maintain support for quarterly financial reporting and annual audits for investment funds, and interact with fund administrator and auditors
Prepare and review capital calls and distributions in coordination with fund administrator
Process diverse tax payments across multiple jurisdictions, coordinating with external advisors
Administer vendor information, assist with entity management and corporate registrations, and insurance
Create and maintain an effective control environment
Assist in file maintenance/organization and other administrative tasks
Various other tasks, projects and deadlines that arise in relation to above

Ideal Background
2-4 years of work experience in accounting.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
Understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
Public accounting experience and CPA or CPA track preferred.
Ability to work in office at least 2 days per week.
Collaborative and goal-oriented.
