We are looking for an Accounting Associate to join the Barlow Builders team as a point of contact for our employees and vendors. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent organization and communication skills along with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Ultimately, we are looking for this person to provide accounting and administrative support to our staff and ensure all daily procedures run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of the accounts payable process, including: managing AP using accounting software, completing the approval process, and handling accounts payable for separate entities
- Perform certain month end close activities
- Assist team with administrative project tasks
- Maintain intercompany accounts
- Manage and route phone calls appropriately
- Maintain physical and digital records and asset listings
- Organize company documents into updated filing systems
- Assist with bill processing
- Address employees' and clients' queries (via email, phone or in-person)
- Prepare presentations, spreadsheets and reports
- Supporting team in regular office operations
Skills
- 4+ years of proven work experience as an Accounting Associate, Administrative Coordinator, Administrator, or similar role
- Hands-on experience with MS Office Suite (particularly MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook)
- Experience in QuickBooks or a similar accounting software
- Must be a team player
- Deadline and detail oriented
- Solid time-management abilities with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High school diploma
