Part Time Accounting Assistant

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, 4 hours/day = 20 hours/week.

• Option to set schedule between the working hours of 9am - 5pm

• In-office work required 1 day (every 2 weeks) and as important meetings arise

Responsibilities:

• Part Time Accounting Assistant will be responsible for AR - Putting together the invoices, posting payments when they come in, etc. Will run an AR report to know what's outstanding monthly and then reach out to customers regarding collections.

• Part Time Accounting Assistant will be responsible for AP - Invoices come in from different areas, entering the invoices into the system correctly, following up and making sure payments are paid on time, meeting deadlines and taking advantage of any payment discounts.

• Part Time Accounting Assistant will be correcting entries in NetSuite in all the modules

• Part Time Accounting Assistant will be responsible for reconciliations

• Part Time Accounting Assistant will research transactions - e.g. if a payment comes in but doesn't have a name, will need to research to find out who the payment is from

• Part Time Accounting Assistant will complete ad hoc tasks and projects, as requested

Requirements:

• 2+ years of general accounting experience

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus but NOT required.

• Must know debits and credits. Must be able to look at the P&L Statement and make sense of it.

• Should be able to do reconciliations

• NetSuite is the ERP system used (previous experience is a plus but NOT required as long as someone has experience using an ERP system larger than QuickBooks)

• Nonprofit accounting experience is a plus but NOT required

• Excel - must know how to use pivot tables. VLOOKUP's experience is a plus.
