Job Title: Accounting Assistant
Location: Philadelphia, PA (Onsite)
Compensation: Starting at $60,000 annually
Overview:
LHH is partnering with clients across the Philadelphia area to identify talented Accountant Assistants for upcoming opportunities. These roles typically involve overseeing the day-to-day general accounting duties & reporting to management. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and bring a collaborative approach to working with fast paced environment.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes, including invoice and payment tracking.
- Support budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Monitor property cash flows and assist with financial planning for ongoing operations.
- Record accurate and timely journal entries in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls through periodic audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in general accounting, preferably with exposure to construction, manufacturing, or accounting industries.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting procedures.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- High level of attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Ability to thrive in both independent and team-oriented environments.
