Job Title: Accounting Assistant

Location: Philadelphia, PA (Onsite)

Compensation: Starting at $60,000 annually


Overview:

LHH is partnering with clients across the Philadelphia area to identify talented Accountant Assistants for upcoming opportunities. These roles typically involve overseeing the day-to-day general accounting duties & reporting to management. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and bring a collaborative approach to working with fast paced environment.


Typical Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable processes, including invoice and payment tracking.
  • Support budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor property cash flows and assist with financial planning for ongoing operations.
  • Record accurate and timely journal entries in accordance with GAAP standards.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls through periodic audits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in general accounting, preferably with exposure to construction, manufacturing, or accounting industries.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting procedures.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • High level of attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to thrive in both independent and team-oriented environments.
