The Accounting Assistant will play a key role in maintaining financial records, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The role requires analytical skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
- Assist in month-end closings
- Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts
- Reconcile month-end reports from Electronic Medical Record systems across divisions
- Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate records of all outgoing expenses
- Process monthly credit card statements and post in accounting system
- Assist with process improvements and special projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in accounting preferred or two years of experience in similar accounting position
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (ex: QuickBooks, Excel, Word).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
