JOB TITLE: Accounting and Payroll Manager
FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY:
The Accounting / Payroll Manager helps manage and actively participates in the accounting cycle to ensure that The Organization's accounting processes are timely, accurate, efficient, and consistent.
The Accounting / Payroll Manager will assist with the coordination of month end accounts payable and accounts receivables reconciliations, prepare and input payroll, prepare and enter general ledger entries; manage benefit billing reconciliations and oversight of salaried timesheet verification and submissions.

Finance & Accounting
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounting functions.
- Support Program requests by providing financial reporting and budgeting assistance.
- Process payroll.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review trial balance for accuracy and completeness.
- Record and post journal entries for monthly financial activity.
- Coordinate information and documents for annual audit process and 990.
- Lead month-end close process in a timely manner.
- Maintain accounts payable vendor files.
- Oversite of credit card procedures including issuing, terminating, and ensuring policy and procedure compliance.
- Perform other job-related duties, as assigned.
Human Resource & Payroll
- Monitor and adhere to written HR policies and procedures that comply with The Organization's policies and federal employment laws.
- Manage payroll process in it's entirety.
- Process and administer bi-monthly payroll and create general ledger entries.
- Coordinate with payroll service provider to process annual W-2 earnings statements to employees.
- Monthly reconciliation and payment of insurance premiums. Ensure invoices are correct and submit new hires, changes and terminations when needed.
- Ensure COBRA compliance, and reconcile premiums as needed.
- Oversite of salaried timesheets. Create yearly template, ensure accuracy of employee calculations and timely submission. Annually create hourly pay dates within payroll and communicate with managers and staff.
- Oversite of YMCA collaboration. Point person for payment, reconciliation, enrollments and cancellations.
General Office Support:
- Provide back up-front desk assistance as needed
- Attend all required agency meeting
- Attend team meetings and supervision as scheduled
- Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:
Minimal Requirements / Performance Standards:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
- Minimal 2 years of experience in accounting and/or financial reporting is required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required, including demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience Paylocity strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of nonprofit organizations strongly preferred.
