Bring to life the Brand Enhance Experience as our newest Accounting/Payroll Coordinator

As one of our driven and passionate team members, you will be reporting to our Sr. Finance & Accounting Manager, and will be a key partner to our corporate team. You will work alongside our team to ensure the company continues our accelerated growth plan with new accounts and additional markets throughout the US. In this role you will drive and be responsible for payroll processing, as well as supporting the accounting and finance function.

In this role, you will:

Accounting/Finance:

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Perform account reconciliations and assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Support client billing processes by preparing invoices, verifying accuracy, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Track, monitor and follow-up on accounts payable and receivable including invoice processing and payment tracking.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
  • Provide support in budget preparation and financial planning activities.
  • Assist in the analysis of financial data and trends to support strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and controls.

Payroll

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for employees including tracking and management of paid time off, breaks, etc.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and other payroll deductions.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve payroll processes and controls.

Purchasing/Assessments

  • Assist in the procurement of goods and services required by the company.
  • Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of purchased items.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating terms and prices as necessary.
  • Verify and reconcile vendor invoices with purchase orders and receipts.
  • Track, monitor and process local agency operators' assessments and taxes.

  • You are a self-starter, are curious, strategic, hardworking and can both get your hands dirty in the details as well as create new programs from scratch.
  • You deeply care about company business and results, yet never sacrifice our brand reputation over financial savings or short-term results.
  • You have a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook with an emphasis in Excel.
  • You have strong time management and organizational skills with great attention to detail.
  • You can be flexible in shifts worked and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with various levels of the organization, while maintaining confidential company and associate information.

Education

Years of Experience

  • Ideally 1+ year(s) working in a role within the Accounting/Finance, Payroll and/or general office management umbrella.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.
  • Experience working with both HRIS and Payroll systems, new systems implementation experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with accounting software strongly preferred, QuickBooks experience is a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • Role based in Orange or Los Angeles County
  • Periodic field visits and meetings to our sites across Orange and LA Counties
