Job Overview
The Accounting and Financial Systems Analyst is key in supporting accounting process improvements and leading financial system initiatives. This position is responsible for system administration of key financial applications, technical user acceptance testing (UAT) for SAP general ledger integrations, and supporting end-to-end financial operations between modules such as SAP HCM to FI, and SD to FI. The analyst will serve as a subject matter expert for GL postings, financial master data, and accounting processes, while partnering across functions to drive operational excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities
Administer financial systems, including Blackline, Winshuttle, and other related applications, ensuring accurate configuration, user access management, and system optimization

Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to lead and perform technical UAT for SAP GL postings between HCM and FI and between SD and FI, validating data flows, interfaces, and posting logic

Provide technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for issues related to financial systems and transactions

Serve as a steward for SAP FI master data, overseeing creation, maintenance, and governance of financial master data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with business rules

Assist with routine financial accounting processes such as journal entries, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations

Support SOX compliance, internal controls testing, and documentation related to financial systems and processes

Compile and create Accounting and Financial reports and/or maintain existing reports to support business needs

Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
3-5 years of hands-on experience with a large ERP system (SAP preferred)

Experience with system administration for Blackline, Winshuttle, or similar financial applications

Strong understanding of SAP GL posting logic, accounting flows between SAP modules, and integration points

Advanced skills in MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)

Solid accounting knowledge, including experience with balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting

Technical aptitude with proven ability to perform UAT, troubleshoot system issues, and partner with IT teams

Experience working with large datasets and data warehouses such as Snowflake, with proficiency in writing SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills

Excellent communication, planning, and organization skills

Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (4 years) or equivalent experience

3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in financial systems, accounting, or ERP support

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Information Systems
