Summary of Position Mission
The Accountant role is responsible for managing and executing various accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision making.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, cash flow analysis, and controls to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance to support strategic decision making
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes
- Post journal entries and manage accruals and prepayments
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs and overhead
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes
- Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments

- Associates or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 2+ year's experience in manufacturing accounting preferred
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team; "hands on" as necessary.
- Capable of operating in an evolving and often unstructured environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize a high volume of tasks
