Our Finance Team is looking for an Accountant to join our subsidiary in Sarasota, FL.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Full Cycle Accounting: The Senior Accountant will manage the full cycle accounting process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions. Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions, adherence to internal controls, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Revenue Recognition and Accruals: Assist with revenue recognition procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. Accrue and record expenses accurately to reflect the financial position of the organization.
  • Purchase Order (PO) Process: Collaborate with procurement and other departments to ensure proper utilization of the PO process. Monitor and review POs to ensure accurate recording and tracking of expenditures.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or anomalies. Investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
  • Month-End Close: The Senior Accountant will oversee and participate in the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, reviewing, and analyzing general ledger accounts, and reconciling sub-ledger accounts.
  • Process payments and prepare bank transfers.
  • Up to date bank reconciliation & Petty Cash.
  • Preparation of quarterly balance confirmations.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, booking of monthly depreciation accruals.
  • Preparation of Sales Tax & other Tax if applicable according to federal State requirements.
  • General administration tasks and other additional responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in full cycle accounting procedures.
  • You are experienced with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and QuickBooks.
  • Strong MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP's and pivot tables.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all stakeholders.
  • You have an independent and responsible working method.
  • You have the flexibility and the ability to work in a team.
  • You are detail-oriented with excellent organizational, analytical, planning, and prioritization skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,171.96 - $70,056.56 per year
