Accountant- Construction
About the Company and Overview of the Role:
- Our client is family owned and operated and has been in the construction industry for over 10 years.
- Due to growth, they are hiring a Accountant to work in their office.
- This position will begin in immediately after an interview on a contractual basis and can become permanent for the right candidate
Job Responsibilities for the Accountant role:
- Full cycle AP
- Handle AR and billing
- The Accountant will handle weekly multi-state payroll.
- General bookkeeping
- The Accountant will maintain GL.
- Perform month end close
- Assist with projects and work with project managers.
- Admin duties including answering the phone when needed.
Qualifications for the Accountant role:
- 3+ years' accounting experience required
- Intermediate Excel skills required
- Construction industry experience highly preferred
- Recent experience with Sage 100 highly preferred
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
