About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant in Ontario, CA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience and a strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Perform variance analysis and provide explanations for budget deviations
- Assist in the development of financial policies and procedures
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall business objectives
- Stay current with accounting standards and regulatory changes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or mid-sized company setting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
