Role Description


The newly created Accountant 1 position will play an important role in championing Northern California Retina Vitreous Associates' (NCRVA) culture. The ideal candidate will assist in running the daily functions related to Accounting and Financial Strategy at Northern California Retina Vitreous Associates. This includes, but is not limited to, managing accounts payable/receivable, managing assigned payroll responsibilities, financial reconciliations, and other accounting and finance related duties. This role reports to the Chief Administrative Officer and collaborates with other NCRVA leadership therefore being a team player, an effective communicator, and having a growth mind-set are essential for success in this role. This role may be considered for NCRVA's remote work policy if applicable.


Duties/Responsibilities:

Manage Profit/Loss (income), cash flow, and balance sheet statements on a monthly basis

Prepare financial projections as needed

Record details of financial transactions in appropriate journals/ledgers in an accurate and timely manner

Prepare data/reports for month end/year end status reports as needed

Assist with drug use/spend reconciliation

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

Review and record all daily cash transactions

Manage payroll functions

Prepare wire transfers

Act as liaison between company and shareholder tax accountants and other financial professionals

Perform other duties related to accounting and finance as needed.Required Skills/Abilities:

Expertise in Quickbooks, excel and other financial tools

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Education, Licensing and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

At least 3-5 years of accounting experience

CPA preferred but not required. More experienced candidates will be considered for a higher level role.

Salary Range:

$85,000 + depending on experience, education, licensing and ultimate role.
