Accountant - On-Site A growing manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented
Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day accounting function. This is a
department-of-one role, ideal for someone with a well-rounded accounting background who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. While the company partners with a third-party CPA firm and CFO, this role is critical for managing and maintaining internal financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform full-cycle accounting including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) activities
Manage monthly inventory reconciliations; ensure inventory records are accurate and reflect activity
Reconcile the balance sheet and ensure alignment with the Profit & Loss statement
Conduct forensic accounting and troubleshoot discrepancies
Prepare and maintain financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
Coordinate with external CPA firm and CFO on financial reviews, reporting, and strategic planning
Assist in the preparation of financial reports for internal leadership
Maintain clear documentation and audit trails for all transactions
Understand and track the flow of raw materials through production and sales (manufacturing process insight)
Required Qualifications:
Strong accounting background, including transactional experience (AP and AR) as well as GL accounting
Demonstrated experience managing accounting functions independently
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred
Strong attention to detail and a critical thinking mindset
Comfortable working on-site during standard business hours
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Understanding of inventory flow and cost accounting within a manufacturing setting- Previous title or experience as a Finance Manager or similar role in a small to mid-sized organization
