Pay: $27/hour

Experience: Data entry and clerical support experience is preferred.

Education: High School Diploma or GED is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Employers Options is seeking an Accountant to join a growing and dynamic team.

Job Description:
  • Handle purchase requests, employee reimbursements, mileage reports, and vendor payments (both paper and online). Ensure proper paperwork, approvals, and prepare monthly lease payments and 1099 filings.
  • Reconcile corporate credit card statements, document and approve charges, and prepare prepaid expense and insurance schedules for month-end reconciliation.
  • Process payroll through the HRIS/Payroll system, review timesheets, make necessary adjustments, and submit payroll.
  • Import payroll journal entries into the accounting system, reconcile totals, track employee PTO, and submit 401K contributions while maintaining related reports.
  • Prepare and process monthly invoices for funding agencies, medical insurance, and tuition fees. Manage payments and tuition balances, working with agencies and families to ensure timely collections.
  • Code, log, and deposit incoming payments via cash, check, and EFT. Apply payments to accounts receivable invoices in the accounting system.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for prepaid expenses and other month-end adjustments, including postage and ferry ticket expenses.
  • Reconcile payroll and accounts payable data between HRIS, payroll systems, and accounting software, ensuring accuracy and documenting processes as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all records and financial information, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies regarding approvals and documentation.
  • Support agency outreach and fundraising activities as needed, enhancing the organization's credibility and visibility within the community.
Position Requirements:
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports, adhering to all state, county, and program requirements.
  • Reconcile payroll, accounts payable, and other financial data across systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage budgets, track expenses, and maintain financial records in line with organizational policies.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and handle month-end adjustments.
  • Process payroll, review timesheets, and submit 401K contributions.
  • Handle vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and accounts receivable processing.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and payroll information.
  • Proficiently use accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations and reporting.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to resolve financial discrepancies and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
