Job Title: Account Manager
Location: San Jose, Ca
Salary: $90,000/year - $140,000/year
Job Description: The Account Manager acts as the principal point of contact for the company within new prospects and existing accounts. The AM is responsible for ensuring overall customer satisfaction, retention rates, quality of services delivered, contract profitability, and continued business growth within the company's strategic plans. The AM will be focused on selling and managing a mixture of service agreements, quoted repairs, and larger replacement and improvement projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new clients and business opportunities within specified vertical markets and geographic regions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Administrative, and Field Operations Management to estimate work, write proposals, manage vendors, manage contracts, and oversee service agreements.
- Generate leads for major retrofit or modernization projects, potentially handling project duties.
- Scope projects and compile resource requirements to align with company capabilities and goals.
- Schedule and conduct customer visits with new and existing customers.
- Participate in job walks, building surveys, and plant tours to gather site data.
- Build strong relationships internally and externally.
- Utilize and maintain customer activity in the company's CRM systems.
- Participate in contract work-in-progress (WIP) review meetings.
- Represent the company at industry-related events.
- Collaborate with Service Administrative and Field Operations throughout the contract lifecycle, including customer profiling, setup, billing coordination, quality reviews, and timely invoice collection.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience working in facility services or specialty MEP contracting, specifically with design, sales, or project management experience.
- Sales, HVAC / Plumbing.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or Construction Management preferred but not required. MBA or master's level degree and/or a current licensed PE are notable strong plus.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and task management skills to respond successfully to a high volume of issues.
