POSITION SUMMARY
BorgWarner's Drivetrain and Morse Systems business unit is currently looking for dynamic, results driven individual to join as an Account Manager at our Auburn Hills Propulsion Technical Center.
Reporting to a Sales Manager, the Account Manager will have overall commercial responsibility for one or more customer accounts and is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive customer strategies, for their assigned accounts, delivering growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction meeting defined targets.
- Develops and implements comprehensive customer strategies with input from cross-functional teams to improve profitability and growth.
- Collaborates with sales management to implement market-driven pricing strategies based on the value provided to customers and competitive alternatives.
- Creates proactive new business opportunity (NBO) plans, tracking progress toward sales objectives.
- Communicates a clear understanding of market share, competitive position, and profitability for each assigned account.
- Develops and executes the customer interface strategy, establishing points of contact and building strong relationships with key decision makers, including developing coaches and sponsors as needed.
- Monitors market dynamics, including customer and competitor developments, and provides relevant information to appropriate sales management for inclusion in the market sensing process.
- Takes responsibility for total customer satisfaction by monitoring performance on key supplier metrics and pursuing corrective actions as necessary.
- Represent the business unit in a professional, positive manner.
- Develops sales forecasts for use in the LRP and monitors market trends throughout the year for use in monthly forecast adjustments.
- Provides global coordination on customer issues where required.
- Complies with contract review procedures and BW commercial policies.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3 years minimum automotive Account Manager experience
- Experience working and driving results with a cross-functional team
- Experience with North American OEMs

$78,800 - $108,350
