Position: Account Manager

Location: Manhattan, NY (Hybrid)

Pay: $90,000/year

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in account management or a consultative role is required.
  • Prior experience in a broker agency or benefits administration firm is required.

Education:

  • Current Life and Health license is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Greene Resources is seeking an Account Manager to join a growing and dynamic team.


Job Description:

  • Manage and maintain an assigned portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day client needs and issues.
  • Collaborate with Benefits Consultants and Client Executives to oversee the full renewal process.
  • Delegate tasks and projects to internal service team members to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Conduct client needs analyses and strategy sessions to align benefits offerings with business goals.
  • Lead client meetings, including benefit enrollment sessions and periodic face-to-face reviews.
  • Educate clients on cost-reduction strategies while ensuring competitive benefits options.
  • Assist with compliance matters such as 5500 form filings, as applicable.
  • Identify and act on cross-sell opportunities to support business growth.
  • Build strong, lasting client relationships through consistent and proactive communication.
  • Keep clients informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and relevant market insights.
  • Effectively manage complex accounts and deliver high-level service support.
  • Provide internal leadership and guidance to the extended service team.

Position Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of health and ancillary insurance products is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Experience with database applications is a plus.
  • Familiarity with quoting tools and processes is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to manage high-level client relationships.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
