Public accounting firm is seeking an Account Manager to play a pivotal role within the company, being assigned individual clients and taking responsibility for managing all facets of their financial affairs. The Account Manager will handle various tasks to ensure comprehensive ownership of each client relationship, including overseeing bookkeeping and accounting functions such as payroll, tax preparations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, reconciliations, financial reporting, compliance, and retirement and estate planning.
This position offers the flexibility of being remote or a hybrid role.
The ideal Account Manager holds the following :
- 7+ years of experience as Bookkeeper of Staff Accountant
- Proficient with QuickBooks
- Holds a Bachelors Degree
- Software with Tax experience with UltraTax
The day to day responsibilities are as followed:
- Process payroll and prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax filings, along with handling forms 1099s and W-2s
- Manage accounting software for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and the general ledger
- Facilitate payments of invoices using paper and electronic methods
- Record revenue receipts
- Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis
- Monitor and manage cash flows promptly
- Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports like income statements and balance sheets in compliance with US GAAP
- Analyze financial reports and produce meaningful variance analyses
- Handle statutory filings with federal, state, and local authorities, including estimated tax payments
- Collaborate with clients, bank representatives, insurance brokers, and other business partners as necessary
- Manage assets in insurance policies and asset management software
- Review the work of bookkeepers, providing training as required
- Ensure alignment of tax returns with the balance sheet
- Make adjusting journal entries
- Separate loan principal from interest on all loans
- Perform depreciation calculations and journal entries
- Possess basic HR knowledge
- Conduct insurance audits
