Overview:
We are seeking a strategic, customer-focused Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of existing customer accounts and support the integration of new business across North America. This individual will help drive growth and long-term partnerships within the contract manufacturing and packaging space, with an emphasis on the CPG, Food & Beverage, and Healthcare sectors.
This role plays a key part in managing day-to-day customer relationships, aligning internal resources, and executing sales and service strategies to ensure excellent delivery and sustained account growth. The Account Manager will also lead strategic planning and customer integration efforts, working closely with commercial and operations teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customer accounts.
- Act as the primary point of contact to ensure satisfaction, responsiveness, and partnership alignment.
Account Growth & Sales Strategy
- Identify new revenue opportunities within assigned accounts.
- Collaborate with customers to align on volume forecasts, business objectives, and profitability goals.
Project Management & Execution
- Oversee end-to-end coordination of customer initiatives including new product launches, packaging changes, and promotional projects.
- Track timelines, deliverables, and communication across cross-functional teams.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work collaboratively with internal departments including Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Customer Service, and Finance to ensure customer needs are met effectively.
Forecasting & Planning
- Align customer forecasts and business plans with internal production and supply schedules to ensure consistent service and delivery.
Commercial Negotiation
- Support or lead contract and pricing discussions, annual reviews, and commercial term negotiations in alignment with margin and service goals.
Insights & Analysis
- Monitor industry trends, customer data, and market dynamics to inform strategic decisions and identify risks or growth opportunities.
- Prepare and present account performance reports, sales dashboards, and key metrics to internal leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Food Science, or related field (preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience in account management, customer success, or business development
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, ERP/CRM systems, PowerPoint)
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Background in contract manufacturing or packaging highly preferred
- Experience in CPG, Food & Beverage, or Healthcare industries is a plus
- Able to travel 10-20% as needed (less if local to Wisconsin)
- Knowledge of manufacturing or supply chain operations a plus
