Job Overview:

As the Account Manager - Retail Sales, you will oversee the wholesale sales strategies and operations of Terra Delyssa olive oil and other product categories. Your role will involve developing and executing sales plans, managing client relationships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring market expansion across the United States. This position is pivotal for driving business growth and ensuring successful market penetration.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development and Growth:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with grocery buyers, distributors, and brokers across the U.S.
  • Increase distribution in the grocery and natural retail channel through proactive business development activities.
  • Develop and negotiate pricing agreements and promotional contracts to maximize profitability.
  • Address client needs and resolve issues to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Travel as needed to food shows and customer meetings.

2. Administrative Tasks:

  • Build annual business plans and budget sales targets for each account.
  • Develop promotional planners for each account.
  • Update specific spreadsheets and CRM software in a timely manner for reporting purposes.
  • Approve or dispute promotional invoices/deductions/claimables received from retailers and distributors.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, retail merchandising, supply chain management, finance, or a related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of CPG wholesale sales experience.
  • Results-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in retail math, inventory management, business analytics, CRM, and advanced Microsoft skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
