About the Role - As an ABB Marine & Ports Marine Systems Account Manager, you will be responsible for profitably growing ABB Marine & Ports vessel, cable management & shoreside electrical system zero emission & hybrid Marine Systems business for specified Marine market segments and specified geographic regions. You will be challenged to develop a thorough understanding of your assigned market segment(s) and customers as well as ABB Marine & Ports Marine Systems solutions offerings. The work model for the role is: remote with up to 75% travel. This position reports to LBL Sales Manager



Responsibilities

  • Responsible for development and delivery of Business Plan for assigned marine segment(s) and geographic region(s).
  • Responsible for development & execution of Strategy & Marketing Plan required to support Business Plan delivery.
  • Responsible for opportunity qualification and managing opportunity development for assigned marine segment(s) and geographic region(s).
  • Responsible for understanding Marine Operator, Naval Architect, Marine Engineering firm & Shipyard vessel electric, cable management and shoreside electrical solution Critical Customer Requirements.
  • Responsible for development and delivery of ABB budgetary and firm commercial & technical proposals.

Qualifications

  • Requires a 4-year college or university degree in an Engineering or Technical field of study.
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical sales and/or business development.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with a remote team across multiple time zones.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and opportunities based on changing business needs.
  • Fluent in English language, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Prior marine industry experience.
  • Prior experience with Salesforce
  • Commitment to the environment through demonstrated sustainability practices.
