Position Summary: This position is a key contributor to the realization of EcoEngineers' commercial growth strategy and sales targets for Europe. The accomplishment of these strategic goals is critical to support the medium- and long-term development of EcoEngineers in Europe. Account Manager will be an experienced sales/business development professional with a bias toward the identification of unmet customer needs, deploying a process that leads to the efficient closing of revenue through opportunity development in a 1-to-8-month forward timeframe and in the multi-annual perspective.
Account Manager delivers on a consultative style with clients, helping them chart a pathway to a low carbon future, emphasizing the integration of EcoEngineers core services into the solution and assisting in building new services if required. This position will work closely with EcoEngineers' Managing Director for Europe and operational project teams to deliver EcoEngineers' services to the European customers. These services include, among others, educational programs on the European decarbonization, renewable energy and sustainability, feasibility studies, pre-development and development consulting, carbon intensity measurement and monitoring, regulatory analysis and engagement to maximize value of carbon reduction, support construction and startup activities, and creating a superior compliance tracking, monitoring and reporting systems.
Organization: Reports to the Managing Director, Europe
Responsibilities: Focus will be directed towards the build-out of revenue generating activity in 3 distinct areas:
- Sales scale-up (core focus - 50% of time):
- Build and lead client relationships, develop and close opportunities
- Gather relevant client scope through client discussions and scoping meetings
- Collaborate with EcoEngineers' technical experts to develop technical aspects of value propositions
- Draft and assemble high quality proposals for delivery to internal stakeholders and customers
- Network, proactive outreach
- Account management (productivity & relationship focus, 25% of time)
- Become a trusted partner to customers
- Show initiative and proactive approach in building clients' interest and trust
- Business development (new product & revenue focus, 25% of time)
- Support the development and accomplishment of strategic European goals
- Bring in innovative solutions, shape the business plan and adjust it in line with the market developments
- Contribute to the marketing campaigns, including webinars, thought leadership
- Understand and realize the value of important sales systems, being a frequent contributor to CRM, and analyzing data
The account manager will have coverage of all above listed areas, with an emphasis on sales scale-up.
Primary Goals: The account manager will focus on delivering order intake and revenue targets.
The position will cooperate with the managing director, Europe, to develop and execute European strategy, perform engagement and run campaigns focused on new revenue/products/services in the European context.
Qualifications & Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in a commercial or engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years in a relevant strategic or developmental role.
- Experience in European renewable energy, sustainability, low-carbon fuels, cap-and-trade.
- Understanding of the European programs for renewable energy, decarbonization, such as ETS, RED, CRCF, ReFuelEU, FuelEU.
- Understanding of policies and regulations and their impact on industry and sectors of economy.
- Ability to build trust through public speaking, develop value propositions and perform strategic analysis.
- Ability to build, develop and leverage extensive client relationship/networks
- Record of outcome orientation - result driven
- Ability to travel (mainly in Europe)
- English and at least one European language
- Based in Europe
