Account Manager

This position will work as part of the sales team with a focus on managing requests for quote to the company, as well as having the responsibility for managing select house accounts. This position will act as a contact for day-to-day communications with the independent outside sales representative regarding new and existing business. In addition, this position will act as support for various sales and service activities, enhancing the customer (internal & external) experience.

Responsibilities:

Manage the Request for Quotes (RFQ's) pipeline to include upkeep of the quote log and manage timely response on all RFQ's.

Filter (Triage) RFQ's as received from customers and field sales team and distribute to quotes team, with direction from VP of Sales and Marketing as needed.

Use our CRM "Hubspot" to enter inquiries, follow-up and manage potential customers.

Work with VP of Sales and Marketing, as well as related individual salespeople in determining final customer pricing on all quotation responses.

Day-to-day work with field sales teams on RFQ processing, RFQ responses, and all other needs.

Publish periodic reports and distribute them as appropriate to support sales and service (to include but not limited to overall bookings, overall sales, new sales, backlog, customer survey, etc.).

Build and maintain customer relationships at all levels.

Review all purchase orders for accuracy with pricing and quantities per the related quotation (contract review).

Back up in order entry for Customer Service and set up on new parts with the engineering department prior to APQP and confirmation and acknowledgement back to the customer.

Management responsibility for select house accounts.

Maintaining exceptional customer service.

Assist with other duties and projects in support of departmental and company goals.

Requirements/Must Haves:

5 years' experience in sales, customer service and/or technical position in a manufacturing environment.

High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred.

Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook.

Knowledge of fastener production, ERP and CRM experience preferred.

Self-motivated with strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects with minimum supervision.

Deadline and detail oriented.

Proactive working skills in working with customers and field sales team on current and future business opportunities.

Strong analytical skills

Ability to multi-task activities and shift priorities.
