Job Summary:
We are looking to grow our sales team in Alpharetta, GA with this new position.
The Account Manager is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities to further drive the revenue goals and client retention.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters within assigned territory.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
Negotiate contracts and close agreements.
Identify and establish contact with potential new customers.
Attend industry trade shows to identify potential sales leads and make meaningful contact with existing customers.
Utilize company CRM to track sales progress in accordance with company policy.
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions by working closely with the logistics team, according to customer needs and objectives.
Gain strong knowledge of entire product line through training provided and experience.
Travel to customer sites and tradeshows (less than 25%)
Performs other duties as assigned.
Assist with administrative responsibilities as needed.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
Bilingual a plus (Spanish).
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities.
Superlative communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate with different types of people.
Thorough understanding of management and financial practices.
Deep understanding of sales processes, customer behaviors, and market trends.
Extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices, and an ability to coach others on them.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
Ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving and issue-resolution, with the ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment.
Education & Experience:
- Associate's degree in Sales, Business, Marketing or any related fields, preferred.
- Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role.
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.
- Experience working with a CRM.
Environment:
The Sales Manager operates professionally in or out of an office environment. This role routinely may need the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This may require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand, as necessary.
