Account Executive
The Account Executive is responsible for providing high level customer engagement through a full life cycle of sales and business management focused on building relationships with existing and new customers.
A successful team member clearly understands the needs of the customers and provides innovative solutions that exceed their expectations, existing across all channels, serving as a point of contact for customers and internal business segments, often interacting with both daily.
Responsibilities:
- Increases revenue by achieving sales objectives in existing and new accounts.
- Creates and manages territory and account strategies to deliver on price and mix objectives.
- Provides product recommendations, samples, technical support, pricing, and service information on demand.
- Provides product quotes and actively utilizes value-selling tools and skills.
- Uncovers and assesses customer needs and develop and execute Value Proposition (Aligning Value).
- Demonstrates products and/or services that aid in the best application of product and/or services.
- Develops a thorough understanding of market conditions (e.g., current customers, potential customers, competitors) in assigned territory, and develops a strategy to achieve revenue goals.
- Secures and maintains distributions of products and/or services and maintains effective agreements.
- Uses account management skills to plan and execute customer marketing/growth programs for customers.
- Creatively develops new applications for product lines.
- Participates in territory planning, customer planning and territory reviews.
- Develops and presents SWOT analysis and makes recommendations on products and growth opportunities.
- Maintains customer profile, supply agreements, inventory management.
- Establishes pricing programs and strategies.
- Secures optimum product positioning within target accounts.
- Provides exceptional customer experience for business partners and prospects to develop long-term business opportunities.
- Navigates complex problems and structures to determine the best solutions for customer needs.
- Collaborates with other business units to evaluate volume, identify trends, ensure quality, and monitor budgets.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 6+ year's applicable sales or related experience.
- Demonstrated successful experience in a sales position that involved negotiating complex transactions with upper-level management positions or similar experience.
- Skilled in developing sales penetration and growth strategies for targeted accounts.
- Proficient in assessing customer needs.
- Proven negotiation skills/experience.
- Excellent financial skills and business acumen.
- Skilled in conducting territory analysis and planning.
- Able to work independently with little supervision.
- Broad-based understanding of how to manage territory business.
- Skilled in communicating effectively with all levels of management on complex business issues.
- Skilled in preparing professional written proposals.
- Mathematical skills: Skilled in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, invoice totals, percentages, bonuses, etc.
- Thorough understanding of product and technical information.
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
- Excellent ability to work as part of a team.
- Travel will exceed 50%
