The Account Executive should be focused on account management and business development. The role will lead in the creation of strategic sales proposals, develop ideas, and create solutions to help clients meet their goals.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and validate new sales opportunities with current and new customers. Familiarity and knowledge of accounts is mandatory. Club business and proven relationships.
- Determine customer needs by analyzing demographics, past purchases, SKU performance, trends, opportunities, and client's business goals.
- Work to attain goals with various teams including Product Development, design, and merchandising.
- Provide inventory opportunities to drive sales.
- Consult with the customer on merchandising, promotions and marketplace trends.
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients.
- Handle customer requests with the assistance of the customer service department. Escalate larger service issues to sales management, so all concerns are proactively addressed.
- Handle order entry and help resolve credit issues as necessary.
- Provide timely and consistent sales reports as requested.
- Work with Production on all orders to ensure accuracy, on time shipments, and proper order placement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of outside sales experience with retail stores with a proven track record of consistently exceeding sales goals.
- Experience with Home Décor and designated accounts a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, business or related field or equivalent experience.
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
- Strong time management, problem solving and organization skills.
- Ability to gain business through industry trade show involvement.
- Proficient computer skills in internet, e-mail, Excel spreadsheets, MS Office programs, presentations and order entry.
