Beyond TalentEdge has a direct hire opportunity for an experienced Account Executive - covering Erie County. Our client is an expert in providing technology and security solutions to the public safety, education and healthcare industries. They have been serving their clients for almost 30 years.
As an Account Executive will be responsible for managing a portfolio of assigned accounts while actively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. This role focuses on selling dark fiber and, where applicable, lit data services to clients in government, education, healthcare, and enterprise sectors.
The AE will own the full sales process, building strategic relationships, managing pipelines, and closing deals-to grow existing business and bring new clients into the fold

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Negotiate and close as many sales opportunities as possible.
- Develop and maintain relationships with both assigned accounts and new prospects across the government, education, healthcare, and enterprise sectors
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while managing and expanding existing customer relationships
- Presents, proposes, negotiates, and closes new sales and contract renewals in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Work with customers and internal teams to manage contract negotiations.
- Lead consultative sales discussions and collaborate with internal engineering teams on high-level network planning and solution development
- Prepare and deliver tailored proposals and presentations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Participate in Business Networking, EDA, IDA, Educational Institutions, Healthcare, and County/Town events.
- Travel within the assigned territory (Western New York region) as needed to meet with customers and attend business development events
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales, within telecom, data services or dark fiber sales, or related technology sectors
- Proven success in both account management and new customer acquisition, with a consistent record of exceeding sales quotas
- Experience selling to public sector and enterprise clients, including municipalities, schools, healthcare providers, and large businesses
- Highly proficient in tools like Google Earth, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently while coordinating with
- cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, engineering, or a related field-or equivalent work
