As an Account Development Manager you support auto and home insurance program growth and retention by executing field marketing campaigns, developing strong relationships with assigned accounts and maintaining a high level of visibility as the company's local liaison. Promotes the program to affinity group members through in-person and virtual presentations, meetings, and local field marketing activities. Drives awareness and engages interested prospects, encouraging them to request quotes online, call directly, or receive quotes in the field through targeted digital marketing initiatives.

  • Territory Management: Works independently to develop and maintain access to group accounts for brand awareness and generates prospective program interest. Solicits interest through presentations/meetings, promotes digital campaigns, hosts informational webinars and generates quotes from affinity group prospects. Identifies opportunities to provide future auto quotes to prospects. Participates in live and remote local group meetings, leadership events, membership conferences and site visits to market the program. Works closely with Strategic Account Managers to support state/group strategies, effectively manage the designated territory, and achieve assigned sales production goals. Prepares and executes a Marketing Account Plan for assigned territory that supports program visibility, growth and customer retention. Monitors and analyzes field account campaigns & marketing effectiveness, overcomes obstacles and adjusts actions accordingly. Maintains documentation of field activities, prospects, and territory account information in Salesforce.
  • Relationship Management: Maintains and develops effective working relationships with key contacts in designated territory and maintains visibility with all group segments. Keeps account team apprised of important group updates. Prepares and presents program information and updates to group leadership and prospects. Handles customer and account concerns and implements solutions.
  • Business Development/Sales: Solicits interest and new business policy sales through virtual and in-person presentations/meetings. Promotes digital campaigns, hosts informational webinars to generate auto and home quotes/sales to increase affinity group member participation.
  • Advertising & eMarketing: Prospects for digital and print marketing opportunities and conducts activities in assigned territory to drive brand awareness and generate inbound sales calls and online quotes. Applies thorough understanding of technology to accomplish activities that include securing multi-touch digital campaigns, website content, banner ads, publication ads, email blasts, social media posts, content marketing, and distributing materials cost effectively.
  • Other duties as required: Job may require fulfilling other incidental or related duties as assigned, assisting and training others, and performing duties of higher rated positions from time to time for developmental purposes.
Business Experience:
  • Required: 2 years of Sales and/or Marketing with experience managing a territory. Experience prospecting for customers and generating quotes and sales for new business.
Skills:
  • Public Speaking: Experience presenting both online and in person to generate quotes for prospective customers.
  • Technology: Ability to use PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce, digital marketing, Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meets, and any other virtual meeting platform.
  • Oral & Written Communication Skills: Strong ability to present data in person and in writing.
Certifications:
  • Preferred P&C License or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe.
Education:
  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: BA/BS Marketing/Communications/Sales or related field.
Physical Requirements:
  • Given the size of the territory, overnight travel will be required to ensure sufficient coverage. Additionally, occasional late evening and weekend commitments will be necessary to meet the needs of our affinity groups.
The pay range for this position is $72,000 - $92,276 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience. The company also offers a full range of medical, financial and other benefits, including eligibility for the company's performance sharing plan and paid time off such as holidays, vacation, sick and personal holidays.
