Scope of Work: To perform a variety of administrative support for the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE), including Academic Advising, Accessibility Services, Financial Aid, and the Lynx CARE Center. This position reports to the Vice President of Student Success at NHTI - Concord's Community College.
Accountabilities:
- Greets and assists students, faculty/staff and public with matters regarding, the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE), Academic Advising, Accessibility Services, Financial Aid, and the Lynx CARE Center;
- Provides administrative support as assigned including but not limited to copying, filing, typing, scanning, making appointments, office record keeping and answering phones; Assists in tracking statistics and generating end of semester reports; Receives, sorts and delivers mail, and takes meeting notes as necessary;
- Schedules students for appointments with staff;
- Uses technology platforms and database such as Navigate, Accommodate, Student Information System (SIS), Degree Works, Outlook Banner, and Excel and create reports, and distribute reports as directed;
- Assists in completing In-House Requisitions and Requests For Payments for purchases and payments;
- Assists with organization and student flow of ACE, Academic Advising, Accessibility Services, Financial Aid and the Lynx CARE Center;
- Maintains confidentiality regarding all student, faculty and staff visits and contacts;
- Provides clerical support and has a presence at various NHTI activities such as: Orientations, Open House, academic ceremonies, and enrollment events.
- Provides coverage for Proctored Testing and receptionist coverage on campus, as needed;
- Works collaboratively with other administrative staff;
- Complies with all college system, state and federal rules and regulations;
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education: High school diploma or equivalent credential
Experience: 2 years' of secretarial or office support experience.
License/Certification: None required.
RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Knowledge of modern office equipment and methods of operation. Knowledge of business English, spelling, and arithmetic. Knowledge of office practices and procedures. Ability to type a variety of correspondence and statistical material and reports with speed and accuracy as well as transcribe dictation. Ability to maintain confidential information. Ability to maintain fiscal or departmental records. Ability to research records and prepare reports. Ability to work independently. Ability to assign, check and review work of other clerical employees. Ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with other employees and the public. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college appointing authority.
