POSITION SUMMARYThe Department of OB/GYN at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine is seeking a highly qualified academic generalist to join our growing Division of Specialists in General OB/GYN. This is an exciting opportunity for an academic generalist with a commitment to excellence in patient care, education and scholarly activity. Clinical responsibilities include General Obstetrics and Gynecology care, including ambulatory care, deliveries, surgery and complete maternal care. Co-manage patient care with MFM faculty and CNMs. Faculty are also responsible for teaching, scholarly activity, service, and related administrative activities.

The Labor and Delivery Unit is a 21-bed unit with four operating rooms and performed over 7200 deliveries last year. The obstetric patient population reflects the vibrant and diverse community we serve. Labor and Delivery care is provided by specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialists, and Certified Nurse-Midwives.
The department has ACGME-approved fellowships in Gynecologic Oncology, MaternalFetal Medicine, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Its Research Division in Reproductive Science, and Gynecologic Oncology has well established and funded lines of basic/translational research.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS- MD or DO degree or equivalent. Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Will be required to be licensed by the Florida Board of Medicine and credentialed at Tampa General Hospital before commencement of employment.
- Must be ACOG board certified or active candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
