Temple University Hospital and Lewis Katz School of Medicine are seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Academic Intensivist to join our dynamic and collaborative team. The successful candidate will play a key role in patient care, teaching, and research within our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). This position offers the opportunity to work in a tertiary care hospital, contribute to medical education, and engage in clinical and translational research.

Position Highlights

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to patients in the CICU.
  • Participate in the teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Engage in clinical research and scholarly activities, with opportunities for funding and academic advancement.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiovascular subspecialists in advanced heart failure and transplantation, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, advanced pulmonary hypertension and right heart failure as well as surgical and medical consultants.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and protocol development to enhance patient care.
  • Contribute to academic conferences, publications, and continuing medical education (CME) activities.
  • Rank and compensation commensurate with experience.

Candidate Qualifications

  • D., D.O., or foreign equivalent
  • Successful completion of a Critical Care Fellowship from an ACGME accredited program.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Critical Care Medicine
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine
  • Obtain an unrestricted medical license & DEA from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to employment
