QUALIFICATIONS: - Extensive knowledge of basketball and/or previous playing experience.
- Ability to work well with student athletes in order to provide a safe and rewarding experience.
- Previous basketball coaching experience with school age students.
- Ability to select and train student athletes, and foster their development.
- Serves as a role model to student athletes, both on and off the field.
- Ability to place the appropriate emphasis on STUDENT athlete.
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents and appropriate staff regarding team procedures, organization and expectations and student athlete issues.
- Ability to motivate and encourage student athletes and resolve conflicts in a positive, productive manner.
