3rd Shift Local CDL A Shuttle and Switcher Drivers

Founded in 1923 and is headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI, the customer for this opportunity is leading contract manufacturer that partners with world-renowned food brands, retailers, ad food service providers to produce a myriad of frozen, refrigerated and shelf-stable products.

Position Details
3rd shift
Wednesday-Sunday Schedule
Operate switcher trucks and day cab tractors
Frequently maneuver 53' dry van and reefer trailers
Yard moves and local shuttles

Responsibilities
Safety operate a CMV in accordance with Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations
Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on truck and trailer; report any issues promptly
Regularly conduct safety checks and seal trailers
Monitor and set refrigerated trailer temperatures
Complete shuttle transfers and yard moves in a safe, timely, and efficient manner
Communicate effectively with management and customers
Adhere to company policies and procedures

Compensation and Benefits
$26.50 per hour for 3rd shift
Overtime after 40 hours

Requirements
CDL Class A
12 months recent Class A Commercial driving experience
DOT drug test
No failed or refused DOT drug tests
Current DOT Medical Card
Good MVR
Excellent backing skills
