Job DetailsMy Client in Food Distribution - is looking for a remote/hybrid Logistics Analyst to start immediately on a contract to hire basis. In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, this role works in close partnership with the logistics team and Director of Distribution to advance company 3PL and Freight strategy. This strategy will lean-in to vendor partnerships through which we can leverage external capabilities to reduce internal administrative burden. It is the responsibility of the 3PL Analyst to support the successful transition through 3PL activity oversight and troubleshooting / problem solving as needed. The success of this transition should exchange time spent on certain administrative tasks for time spent on more analytical contributions aimed at vendor, performance, and cost management.
Responsibilities:
3PL Service Level Management and Problem Solving: Day-to-day point of contact with 3PL to manage exceptions and review & act on all reporting & activity according to company processes.
Order Fulfillment Tracking & Exception Mgmt.: update backlog file and support key stakeholders as needed on open order Shipping & fulfilment statuses.
Shipping/Receiving/Invoicing: coordinate and execute all related shipping, receiving and invoicing activities and update company resources in accordance with this activity in a timely and accurate manner. Also, facilitate the adoption and integration of EDI and other workflow automation tools in order to offload administrative burden.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory at assigned nodes to ensure accuracy and control as well as to monitor for sufficient capacity for storage. Raise alerts in advance to avoid disruption due to capacity or other issues.
Freight: purchase and coordinate freight as needed and in accordance with company freight strategy and processes. Key priorities are OTD, and timely updates on designated communication channels and company resources.
EDI Support: monitor for EDI issues and root cause & correct.
Quality Control: Ensure that all products are handled and transported in compliance with Company's quality standards and safety regulations.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the logistics and distribution functions.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, permits, and licenses related to transportation and distribution.
Collections/Trade & Leakage - collect and store all shipping documentation in accordance with company policy and support all processes and requests related to collections and trade and leakage management in a timely and efficient manner.
Transfer all CHEP/PECO (if required) pallets in appropriate portals on a weekly basis.
Ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned.

Professional Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
3+ Years of experience in a similar role. Must be comfortable with high-paced logistics environment.
Analytical and capable of leveraging various data resources to conduct analytical review and drive action (PowerBI, Excel, SAP, etc.)
SAP experience highly preferred.
Grasp of basic Financial and Accounting concepts for budgeting & bucketing purposes.
Knowledge of inventory practices and supply chain analysis.
Must be proficient with MS Office (w/ intermediate Excel skills)
