This is not your average tech position. As a 3D Graphics Software Developer, you will operate at the cutting edge of technology, creating essential training systems such as the CIAT - Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Trainer. You will develop real-time, three-dimensional graphics systems, including simulations for submarine periscopes, bridges, and ship weapons. This advanced visual simulation technology is vital for various Navy training operations. All of our software is built in a Linux environment using C and OpenGL and employs the Unreal graphics engine and other software tools.

If you have an advanced degree in computer science or a strong background in advanced mathematics or physics, you might be the ideal candidate. We are looking for applicants with a background in 3D Game Development, Visual Modeling and Simulation, VR/XR Development, multi-threading, GPU shader programming and optimization, as well as data visualization.

Required Education & Experience
  • Education: B.S./B.A. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Citizenship: U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance (Interim Secret clearance is required upon employment).
  • Skills: A minimum of 4 years in developing 3D graphics applications in C using low-level APIs, along with some experience in game programming, 3D graphics development, or other visual simulation systems. Familiarity with graphics engines like Unreal, OpenSceneGraph, or similar is essential.
Preferred Experience
  • Education: An advanced degree or ongoing education in computer science, or a strong background in mathematics or physics.
  • Skills: Knowledge of CPU/GPU hardware related to C optimization, including familiarity with high-performance computing and general graphics hardware, as well as experience developing for Virtual Reality (VR) headsets.
  • Tools: Experience with Unreal Engine, Unity, Godot, or VulkanSceneGraph engines.
Bonus Experience
  • Tools: Experience with Nvidia Nsight or similar profiling tools. Proficiency in 3DS Max, Maya, Photoshop, or similar modeling tools.
  • Skills: Familiarity with Linux systems.

Pay Range: $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
