Job Description Ōnin Staffing is currently hiring experienced and motivated 2nd Shift Welders to join a fast-paced and diverse manufacturing team. If you're ready to put your welding skills to work on a consistent evening schedule, this opportunity is for you.
About the Role:As a 2nd Shift Welder, you'll be responsible for fitting and welding components using MIG welding equipment based on production drawings and specifications. Your precision, consistency, and ability to work independently will be key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:- Set up and adjust MIG welding equipment based on material requirements.
- Perform welds in flat, vertical, and overhead positions to meet quality standards.
- Create strong, clean, and consistent welds with proper penetration.
- Use fixtures and follow work instructions during the welding and assembly process.
- Operate robotic weld cells as assigned.
- Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet specifications.
- Maintain clean workstations and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 years of welding experience or completion of a vocational welding program.
- Proficient in MIG welding techniques across various positions.
- Skilled in blueprint reading and interpreting AWS weld symbols.
- Capable of using measuring tools like tape measures and angle finders.
- Comfortable working in physically demanding positions, including kneeling or working on ladders.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate forklifts and overhead cranes preferred.
- Must be dependable and available to work a full-time 2nd shift schedule.
