PART-TIME 2nd SHIFT Maintenance Helper About the Job:The PT Maintenance Helper supports and maintains Operations equipment to achieve optimal performance. They troubleshoot, repair, install, align, dismantle, and repair industrial process equipment including electrical needs. The Maintenance Helper is also responsible for performing periodic maintenance routines & preventative checks.
Position Type/Compensation/Hours:- $18.00 -$23.00 per hour depending on skills & experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Working well with others as a team
- Repair dressing units.
- Repair basket bearings.
- Repair belt sanders.
- Repair pitch bars.
- Replace A/C filers and clean coils.
- Weekly eyewash station checking.
- Monthly fire extinguisher checks.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and testing on electrical wiring and components.
- Able to measure products using micrometers and calipers.
- Clean, organize, and maintain inventory of maintenance shop.
- Maintain and complete all required documentation.
- Help Maintenance Technician when needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working an an electrical/mechanical maintenance position within a manufacturing, industrial or military environment.
- Experience troubleshooting issues with bearings, chains, sprockets, gear boxes and conveyors.
- Able to read and understand electrical/wiring drawings.
- Experience with precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings, pumps, and lubrication.
- Experience in operating a motorized forklift and scissor lift.
- Familiarity with common welding tools and procedures; including MIG welding, metal fabricating, grinding, and finishing metals.
- Adherence to safety rules and regulations which includes wearing the proper PPE (personal protective equipment)
Work Environment/Physical Demands:- Able to stand at least 4 hours without resting
- Able to lift at least 50lbs
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts
- Noise level in work environment is usually loud
- Regularly required to climb, push, pull, sit, stand, bend, crouch, and crawl on a regular basis
- Able to push or pull carts and/or pallet jacks
- Able to bend and/or stoop to the floor
- Climate-controlled facility
