The starting pay for positions is $18.30/hr. with a shift increase for second shift.

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position could work in any department of this meat processing facility that may include but is not limited to 1st and 2nd shift Processing, 1st and 2nd shift Packaging, 1st and 2nd shift Shipping and Receiving and 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift Smokehouse. Applicants will be considered for any general labor type openings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements
  • Perform all positions of rotation, if applicable
  • Handle raw or smoked bacon.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be willing to work overtime and/or weekends as needed with occasional Sundays.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Standing, walking, bending, squatting, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching are required in all areas.
  • Must be able to reach high and low levels, frequently.
  • Ability to flex/grip with wrist/hands repetitively.
  • Must be able to push/pull/lift 40 lbs. or more if required.
  • Must be able to stand 8-10 hours on hard floors.
  • Must be able to work in a cold, damp or hot and humid environment that may have slippery walking surfaces.
Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson Foods, Inc. will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 365 days and are limited to three (3) times of employment.
