1ST SHIFT EXPERIENCED Corrugated Machine Operators in the City of
Ontario, CA SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for all Set up and Operation of machines in designated department. Operators may work with computer-controlled equipment or more mechanically based machines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Set up & Operation of various machines
- Test operation of machines periodically.
- Run material through machine according to company specifications
- Ensure correct materials are used to meet customer specifications.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Ensure all inventory entries are complete and accurate
- Inspect and maintain quality of product.
- Responsible for meeting all quality and efficiency standards.
- Meet all company safety policies and report any concerns related to the required maintenance of machines.
- Special projects as business dictate.
- Duties may be expanded upon, and additional duties may be assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS- Manufacturing experience in the corrugated industry REQUIRED.
- Able to READ a Tape Measure, Blue Prints and Production Schematics with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented and self-directed.
SHIFT / PAY RATE: $21.00 - $23.00 (DOE) 1st Shift: 5:00AM - 1:30PM +OT (8 hours daily) MONDAY FRIDAY EXPERIENCE, UPDATED RESUME & INTERVIEW WILL BE REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to handle or feel.
- The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 - 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT- The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and colored dyes.
- Exposure to wet and humid conditions.
- Exposure to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration, such as Color Dyes.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- Must always wear PPE. (Noise reduction Ear Plugs, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses & Gloves)
- NO Jewelry and No-Lose Clothing. MUST WEAR Steel Toe Shoes.
